Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Do you take insurance?
At Anam Cara Wellness, we operate as a direct-care practice and do not bill or accept insurance. We are also unable to accept workers’ compensation, personal injury, or motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims.
This approach allows us to focus fully on providing individualized, attentive care without the limitations often imposed by insurance systems.
For patients who wish to seek reimbursement, we are happy to provide a superbill upon request. A superbill includes the documentation many insurance providers require for out-of-network reimbursement, should chiropractic care be included as an out-of-network benefit in your plan.
We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm your out-of-network chiropractic coverage and any requirements for reimbursement.
What is Network Spinal?
Network Spinal is a gentle evidence-based chiropractic approach developed by Dr. Donald Epstein, DC in the 1980s. Through years of clinical observation, he discovered that specific, light contacts along the neck and sacrum can help the nervous system release stored tension and reorganize patterns held in the spine.
These gentle contacts encourage the body to create a natural wave-like motion along the spine, allowing the nervous system to shift from patterns of stress and protection into greater ease and adaptability.
As the body begins to unwind long-held tension patterns, many people notice improvements such as reduced pain, improved posture, better sleep, decreased anxiety, and increased energy and resilience.
Because the work is extremely gentle and respects the body’s own pace of change, Network Spinal is appropriate for people of all ages, from infants to seniors.
Can gentle chiropractic care relieve my symptoms?
At Anam Cara Wellness, we use gentle, light-touch techniques designed to support the healing and regulation of the nervous system while restoring healthy motion and function throughout the spine, cranium, and extremities (arms and legs).
Through this approach, many individuals experience relief from nerve pain, joint pain, headaches, and migraines, along with broader improvements in overall well-being. Patients often report additional benefits such as better digestion, better sleep, improved immune function, and increased ease and resilience within the body.
Why “Anam Cara”?
Anam Cara is a Celtic term meaning “soul friend.” Dr. Danielle (maiden name Jordan) chose this name to honor her Irish heritage—especially her grandfather, who used to sing “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” at family dinners.
The phrase also reflects how Dr. Danielle feels about the work she does. She believes the profound changes that occur on the table are a direct reflection of the presence, compassion, and acceptance she brings to each person and their body. Seeing someone’s eyes look lighter after they rise from the table is one of the greatest gifts of her work. For this reason, “soul friend” felt like a deeply fitting name for her practice.
