Dr. Danielle Gonzales

Network Spinal chiropractor in Portland, OR

Dr. Danielle Gonzales, network spinal chiropractor at Anam Cara Wellness in Portland, Oregon

Dr. Danielle was born and raised in Petaluma, California. Her early career was focused on a passion for the sciences, spending seven years working as a clinical chemist while simultaneously exploring interests in biohacking and nutrition. Driven by a desire to understand health from direct experience, she has long embraced the role of her own “guinea pig,” exploring the deeper question: What truly is health?

After some time, a deep internal knowing that there is more to a person’s well being that went beyond the allopathic model began to open her awareness to the fields of energy medicine and spirituality. She did a deep dive into yoga, meditation, somatic psychotherapy, Eastern medicine, and Reiki. It was in these fields that many lifelong questions became answered. Most importantly, it became a space for Dr. Danielle to apply her highly sensitive perception that informs the way she connects with and cares for others.

Chiropractic was a natural next step for Dr. Danielle. Founded in 1895 by D.D. Palmer—not on spinal misalignment, but on the tone of the nervous system where energy meets matter—chiropractic resonated deeply with her understanding of health. She was overjoyed to discover a healing art that recognizes and works with the body’s innate capacity to heal. She enrolled at Life Chiropractic College West in 2017 and graduated Valedictorian with Clinic Honors in 2020.

While her academic journey was rigorous and rewarding, one of the most humbling lessons she carries into practice is that the body does not care what the textbook says or what grades you earned in school. Over the past six years of clinical practice, she has learned that true healing arises from deep presence and profound respect for the body’s innate intelligence. It is within that space that effortless, spontaneous, and joyful transformation becomes possible.

Dr. Danielle now resides in SW Portland with her husband Ryan, their daughter Evie. She is expecting her second child in July 2026.

Dr. Kent Drever

After years pursuing optimal physical, mental, and spiritual health, I was still sick and burnt out. It was then I realized that our most important work is to work with the stress that we carry inside of us. Only then can be at peace while fully expressing our unique gifts in the world.

Now I help clients release trauma and reclaim their energy through nervous system optimization. With years of experience, I’ve honed an approach that identifies and releases trauma stored in the body, empowering you to overcome blocks and live with greater freedom.

As a licensed chiropractor, I incorporate Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) and Network Spinal (NS) Chiropractic alongside other mind and body modalities.

I earned my BS in Kinesiology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and my Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.

Beyond my chiropractic practice, I’m a meditator, dancer, writer, and movement artist.

Dr. Brian Duby

Originally from Vermont, Dr. Brian has called Portland home for over 15 years. He discovered Network Spinal Analysis after he injured himself working construction and experienced unrelenting upper back pain. His medical doctor was unable to help, and traditional chiropractic adjustments felt better for a short-time, but then stopped working to alleviate the pain. A mutual connection led him to a Network Spinal Analysis chiropractor. The first five minutes I was on the table, I had so much relief from the pain, that I thought to myself, 'I could learn to do this and help other people!' Nine months later, he moved from the East Coast to the Bay Area to enroll in Life Chiropractic College West where he graduated cum laude.

Dr. Brian treats his clients by looking at their whole story, including past physical and emotional traumas dating as far back as birth where early spinal development and emotional holding patterns can start. His most successful clients have had chronic or debilitating physical or mental health issues who work with him to facilitate spinal awakening and repatterning to release trauma and embrace new, healthier physical and emotional patterns. This includes chakra opening and awakening, strengthening and relaxing pelvic and thoracic tension patterns, and clearing energetic blocks.

His clients come to him with chronic anxiety, headaches, fatigue, pain, sleep problems, digestive disorders, hormone or weight issues, energetic sensitivities, injuries from work or car accidents, life stress, embodiment challenges due to past traumas, postural issues, and more. Many of these are rooted in emotional traumas held in the body, nervous system, and spine.

Dr. Brian’s goal is to gently facilitate musculo-spinal system corrections to allow a restoration of normal segmental and joint movements. This allows the nervous system to retake control of body function by removing any hinderances in the spinal and muscular systems. Gentle Network Chiropractic adjustments, combined with Somato Respiratory Breathing, which empowers clients to bring breath and awareness to their tension patterns, can facilitate transformative healing and dissolve long-held tension patterns.
